To our teachers: thank you

The Teachers Who Make Douce Enfance Special

Every morning, children walk through the doors of Douce Enfance with different stories.

Some arrive excited to see their friends. Some cannot wait to tell their teacher something that happened at home. Some are still waking up. Others may need a little extra encouragement before they are ready to begin the day.

But behind all these moments are teachers who are there to welcome them.

They greet them by name. They notice when something is different. They listen to their stories, answer their endless questions, celebrate their small victories and encourage them when something feels difficult.

This is what makes a teacher’s work so special.

More than teaching lessons

When we think about teachers, we often think about lessons, books, assignments and grades.

But the work of a teacher goes far beyond the classroom.

A teacher may be the person who notices that a normally cheerful child is unusually quiet.

A teacher may be the one who says, “Try again. I know you can do it,” when a child feels like giving up.

A teacher may celebrate a child’s first successful reading, first confident presentation, first new friendship or simply the courage to raise a hand and answer a question.

These moments may seem small to an adult.

For a child, they can mean everything.

At Douce Enfance, we are grateful for teachers who understand that children do not simply need to be taught—they need to be known, encouraged and cared for.

To our teachers: thank you

To every teacher at Douce Enfance, thank you for the patience you show when a child does not understand something the first time.

Thank you for explaining it again.

Thank you for encouraging the child who doubts themselves.

Thank you for celebrating progress that others may not notice.

Thank you for correcting with care, setting boundaries with consistency and creating classrooms where children can feel safe enough to learn.

Thank you for the mornings when you arrive prepared for a full day, even though you know the day may not go exactly as planned.

Thank you for the creativity, energy and patience you bring into your classrooms.

And thank you for the relationships you build with children.

Those relationships are part of their education too.

Parents, we know what you entrust to us

For parents, sending a child to school is never just about choosing a place for them to study.

You are entrusting us with someone incredibly precious to you.

You trust us with your child’s questions, their laughter, their fears, their friendships, their struggles and their dreams.

You trust their teachers to care about them when you are not there.

We do not take that trust lightly.

We know that behind every child who walks into our school is a family that loves them deeply and wants the very best for them.

That is why the relationship between parents and teachers matters so much.

When a parent and teacher communicate, listen to one another and work together, the child feels the difference.

They know that the adults around them are working together to help them succeed.

The children are why we do it

Ultimately, everything comes back to the children.

Their smiles.

  • Their questions.
  • Their funny stories.
  • Their curiosity.
  • Their mistakes.
  • Their little achievements that slowly become big achievements.
  • Watching a child grow from being unsure of themselves to confidently expressing an idea is one of the most rewarding parts of education.
  • Seeing a child who once struggled with something finally understand it brings a special kind of joy.

And watching children become kinder, more responsible, more independent and more confident reminds us that education is about much more than what happens in a textbook.

We are helping shape young lives.

That is a responsibility we value deeply.

A school is built by people

Buildings can create a beautiful environment.

Classrooms can be equipped with resources.

Books and technology can support learning.

But it is people who give a school its heart.

At Douce Enfance, our teachers are an important part of that heart.

They are the familiar faces children look forward to seeing.

They are the voices that encourage them.

They are the people who celebrate their progress and stand beside them when learning becomes difficult.

And years from now, children may not remember every lesson they learned in a particular classroom.

But they may remember the teacher who believed in them.

The teacher who listened.

The teacher who made them feel capable.

The teacher who made school feel like a place where they belonged.

To our Douce Enfance family

To our teachers, thank you for giving your time, your patience and your hearts to our children.

To our parents, thank you for trusting us and partnering with us in your children’s journey.

And to our children, thank you for bringing your curiosity, your laughter and your wonderful personalities into our school every day.

You are the reason we are here.

At Douce Enfance, we believe that education begins with knowledge, but it grows through relationships.

And we are grateful for every teacher, every parent and every child who makes those relationships possible.

Together, we are creating a place where children can learn, feel loved, grow in confidence and become the people they are capable of becoming.
